At the Big Buddha in Hong Kong

mjm_bigbuddha_square We’re definitely missing Darren’s wife and youngest son this month while they are in Asia visiting family and friends.

But, we are thoroughly enjoying the proof they’re having a great time: all the cute photos and videos of them smiling, laughing, and seeing the sites.

Here’s Jayden with the Tian Tan Buddha, also known as the Big Buddha, at Ngong Ping, Lantau Island, in Hong Kong.

No, they didn’t climb all those stairs…fortunately there’s a cable car that carries you up to the top!

Sunset on the Downtown Waterfront

Any time of year here in Seattle is a good time to catch spectacular sunsets.

Here’s the start of a beautiful fall sunset Allyson’s friend Tracy caught during a recent evening they spent hanging out on the waterfront downtown.

Behind Allyson snapping her own pic in this action shot, if you look closely you can see Mt. Rainier, a ferry, and the stadiums. Downtown is off the to the left (can’t see much of it here) and the shipping cranes on Harbor Island overlook Elliott Bay on the right.
